  Dr. Elizabeth Vultaggio Salah has been teaching at the elementary school level for 31 years, all of which have been in Title 1 Schools. Dr. Salah earned her Bachelor of Arts from Florida Atlantic University, her Master of Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University, and her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. The degrees encompass concentrations in Elementary Education, Reading, and Special Education. Her dissertation topic was on the Effects of Interactive Read-Aloud and Literature Discussion on Reading Comprehension for First-Grade Students With Language Impairments in a Title 1 School. Dr. Salah was selected as the recipient of the Dr. Charles L. Faires Dissertation of Distinction Award for her research on reading comprehension for first-grade language impaired students. Dr. Salah has taught in the general education classroom as well as in inclusion model classroom in  grades Kindergarten, first-grade,  and Voluntary PreKindergarten. She holds a Florida Certification in Elementary Education (Grades 1-6), Exceptional Student Education (K-12), Prekindergarten/Primary Education (age 3-Grade 3), Primary Education (Grades K-3), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Endorsement, and Reading Endorsement. During her undergraduate education, Dr. Salah traveled to Germany, Italy, and India to conduct research on the education systems in these countries, and compared them to the U.S. educational system.
